Sooo, I’ve been walking with earplugs in my ears while my 2 classmates where blindfolded. I actually heard allmost everything though my earplugs… So pitely enough I can’t tell you how it was to be deaf. I actually amost know how it feels to be deaf and not hearing the sounds around me, this is because I’m ALWAYS listening to music when I’m outside, but I can still hear all the sounds, I trained myself for it, I don’t want to get under a car.
By the Willemsbrug. This was the scarriest part of the route, this was because I wasn’t used to being blind in the beginning, this was the first part we had visite. It was very scary to hear all those cars, but the scariest part of all would be climbing the stairs while being deaf. Riske thought it was scary to lead me the way while she was deaf, she was looking behind her all the time.
This was @ dudocs, we loved the smell of all the shops we where passing by. The costumers of Dudoc really stared at us, I felt a bit uncomfortable. It was very scary to walk between those tabls while being blind. Those earplugs didn’t bother me at all. On the way to Dudoc I walked into a few parked bikes.
This was at Rotterdam’s central station, it was so noisy! We heard construction workers, people passing by, all those human are suck in a hurry that they’ll bump up to you al the time. I felt the wind of trains passing by and I heard a lady’s voice telling me information about trains. It smelled good walking by Burger King and Smullers. It was very funny to do this assignment, Later!
